5 x 2 ml bacteriostatic water vials (for reconstitution)
ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Each vial contains:
- CJC-1295 (Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone) 5 mg
DESCRIPTION
CJC-1295 is a synthetic peptide analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is designed to stimulate the release of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland, promoting increased levels of GH and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1). CJC-1295 has an extended half-life compared to natural GHRH due to its binding with albumin, allowing it to remain active in the bloodstream for longer periods. It is commonly used to improve muscle mass, reduce fat, and enhance recovery and overall performance.
The product is supplied as a sterile, lyophilized powder to be reconstituted prior to administration.
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION
Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone Analog
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Mechanism of Action: CJC-1295 binds to GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland, stimulating the release of endogenous growth hormone. By increasing GH levels, it leads to enhanced muscle growth, improved fat metabolism, and the promotion of cellular repair. The increase in IGF-1, which is stimulated by GH, further amplifies these anabolic effects.
Pharmacokinetics:
- Absorption: Rapidly absorbed after subcutaneous injection.
- Distribution: Distributed throughout the body, primarily binding to albumin to extend its duration of action.
- Metabolism: Metabolized primarily by the liver.
- Excretion: Excreted through urine.
INDICATIONS
CJC-1295 is indicated for:
Muscle Growth and Recovery: To enhance muscle hypertrophy, tissue repair, and recovery in athletes or individuals seeking increased muscle mass.
Fat Loss: Promoting fat metabolism and aiding in weight management.
Anti-Aging Therapy: Increases GH and IGF-1 levels to counteract age-related decline in hormone production.
Growth Hormone Deficiency: In individuals with suboptimal GH production, aiding in the restoration of normal levels.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Dosage:
- Standard Dosing: 1 mg to 2 mg injected subcutaneously 1 to 3 times per week, depending on individual goals and response.
- Cycle Duration: CJC-1295 is typically used for cycles lasting 8 to 12 weeks, followed by a break period to prevent receptor desensitization.
Administration:
- Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with bacteriostatic water.
- Inject subcutaneously into fatty tissue, such as the abdominal area.
- Rotate injection sites to avoid localized irritation.
Reconstitution:
- Reconstitute the vial with 1 to 2 ml of bacteriostatic water.
- Store the reconstituted solution in the refrigerator and use within 14 days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Hypersensitivity: Contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to IGF-1 LR3 or any of its components.
- Cancer: IGF-1 LR3 is contraindicated in individuals with active cancer or those with a history of malignancy, as it may promote tumor growth.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
1. Risk of Hyperglycemia: CJC-1295 may increase blood glucose levels. Diabetic patients should monitor glucose levels closely and adjust their medications as needed.
2. Tumor Growth: Due to its ability to increase GH and IGF-1, CJC-1295 may stimulate the growth of malignant or pre-malignant cells.
3. Long-Term Use: Prolonged use may lead to desensitization of GHRH receptors. It is recommended to cycle the use of CJC-1295 to maintain efficacy.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Common side effects:
- Redness, swelling, or pain at the injection site
- Water retention (edema)
- Fatigue
- Mild headaches
Serious adverse effects:
- Hyperglycemia: Increased blood sugar levels due to higher GH.
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Prolonged use of GH-boosting peptides may lead to symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.
- Organ Enlargement: Prolonged and excessive use of CJC-1295 may cause the enlargement of organs or tissues.
INTERACTIONS
- Insulin/Glucose-Modifying Agents: Use with caution in diabetic patients, as CJC-1295 may elevate blood sugar levels.
- Anabolic Steroids: Concurrent use with anabolic steroids may enhance muscle growth, but it can also increase the risk of adverse effects like fluid retention and tissue overgrowth.
USE IN SPECIFIC POPULATIONS
Pregnancy and Lactation: The safety of CJC-1295 during pregnancy or lactation has not been established. Its use is not recommended in these populations.
Pediatric Use: CJC-1295 is not intended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
Geriatric Use: Older adults may benefit from CJC-1295 for anti-aging purposes, but caution is advised due to the potential for glucose metabolism effects and tissue growth.
OVERDOSAGE
In case of overdose, there may be an exaggerated response in GH release, leading to potential side effects like severe water retention, joint pain, and hyperglycemia. Discontinue use and seek medical advice in case of overdose.
STORAGE
- Store the lyophilized powder at room temperature (20°C to 25°C / 68°F to 77°F).
- After reconstitution, store the solution in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F) and use within 14 days.
- Protect from light and do not freeze.
- Keep out of reach of children.
