What is Testosterone Enanthate and what does it do?
Testosterone Enanthate is very similar to Testosterone with Cypionate ester and in fact, in most respects the two are interchangeable. These differ in a slightly different ester length, which I'll take from my profile on Cypionate since it's 100% valid here before I really go too far:
"Testosterone is a highly anabolic and androgenic hormone, each having over 100 anabolic ratings as well as anabolic (muscle building). Testosterone exerts most of its effects by increasing the increased nitrogen retention in muscle. Testosterone has IGF-1 in both muscle tissue and liver. It is known to increase growth factor levels.Testosterone also increases the activity of satellite cells, cells that play an active role in repairing exercise-damaged blood.Testosterone exerts these effects mainly through genomic mechanisms, that is, it binds to the androgen receptor (AR) and initiates gene transcription. stimulation, muscle gain and fat loss as well as reduction of catabolic glucocorticoid hormones [4] and promoting a variety of AR-dependent mechanisms that increase red blood cell production.Testosterone may even help protect the heart against coronary disease.Testosterone binds to AR in fat cells and results in the breakdown and also prevents the formation of new oil.
One of the most interesting things I've read about this particular version of testosterone was that a study was actually done at different doses. This is very interesting because we (athletes and bodybuilders) for decades the anabolic/androgenic effects of testosterones have been dose dependent – in other words, the muscle building effect increases as the dose increases. In the study I read, up to 600mgs gave better results than any other dose. I know you can get good results with less, but honestly, you'll get more results if you use more. In fact, this is pretty typical with all steroids. In this study, HDL cholesterol was lowered (but not total cholesterol or triglyceride levels), and both men experienced acne.
Of course, Testosterone Enanthate causes side effects like acne, hair loss, prostate enlargement and ultimately shutting down your body's natural hormonal system.
A large percentage of these side effects are due to the body's ability to convert testosterone to estrogen via the aromatase enzyme or to Dihydrotestosterone via the 5alpha-reductase enzyme.
Testosterone Enanthate has a long ester and stays in the body for 8 days. It is a natural androgen and one of the testosterone derivatives. It is used for therapeutic purposes in women and children to gain strength and against anemia. It provides strength and muscle development in athletes. It acts very quickly and combines well with other doping drugs.
